Day 25: Portland

Run

Today was a shorter run (~8 km) along lake union but not around it. Good start into the day and I took it easy & slow compared to yesterday.

The Museum of Flight

On the way to Portland we made a stop at the Museum of Flight, which has a really nice collection of aircraft’s, from the beginning of flight until today.

The highlight for me was clearly the Concorde, which is one of only 3 that are on display in the whole USA. It’s also the Concorde which flew the last commercial flight ever in 2003.

There is also a lot of information about the Apollo Missions, Space Travel, and so on. We spent around 1:30h there and it was definitely worth it!

On to Portland

After the Museum it was time to make the drive to Portland, this took us nearly 3h and we had some Traffic on the last section, probably the regular commuters.

We did a quick stop at a Mall for Nicole and were then at the Hotel around 18:00, so directly time for Dinner. This time we followed the recommendation of the Hotel staff. So we went to Joe’s Cellar right around the corner and had Burgers, which were really good, so one point for the friendly guy at the reception :)

After dinner we did a short stroll through Portland, but we didn’t saw too much. We will explore the City a bit further during running tomorrow morning, but beside of that it’s just a stop on the way to Yellowstone. But next stop is first Boise tomorrow.
