Day 26: Boise

Traveling

Yesterday and today are mainly travel days and tomorrow will be the same, so it’s not too much I can report of them. The time in the car has its own charm, we like to see so much of a country and are fascinated by the ever changing scenery. Today was first characterized by woods and the Columbia River and then as we continued on to the east, it became more and more bare.

In the end we spent 6:32h driving and covered 424.6 miles. With the various short stops we spent nearly 7:30h travelling today. Then we also lost another our to the different timezone (-8h compared to Switzerland now), so it was quite late when we arrived in Boise.

Here we stay in a Bed & Beer called Franklin House, which has a cool backyard bar were we got offered a welcome drink.

We then couldn’t resist and got us another round of drinks, the sour beer I had was really fantastic! After that it was time to eat something, we are currently always in the rhythm of just some snacks for lunch, so we get quite hungry for dinner.

Both of us agreed that Asian would be a nice thing, so we found Phở Nouveau which was an excellent choice. The Phở soup was delicious!

After dinner we did the short walk back to Franklin House and then it was already time to get some sleep. Tomorrow is another 7h drive to Yellowstone!
