Day 41: Escape the Heat

Bye Las Vegas & Hello San Diego

For the last days, we didn’t use the car too much. We had the short drive from Zion on Monday, but that was it. So today was another driving day, covering nearly 350 miles, which took us a bit over 6 hours in the end.

We did some short stops on the way and a longer one at the Peggy Sue’s 50’s Diner. There we had some burgers, which were really good and got a break from the driving.

It took quite long until we left the heat behind and it got cooler, it was only close to the coast were the temperatures dropped from nearly 40 to a cool 22 in San Diego.

We arrive short after 18:00, but after a day in the car we went for a short walk, before we went to Tajima Ramen for Dinner. Was a good option, but the Ramen in Whistler were better.

Currently the posts get a bit shorter, this is mostly due to the fact that we are currently really enjoying the relaxing holiday feeling of not doing too much :)
