Day 2: Salento

Morning in Armenia

We spent the first night in Armenia, so we didn’t have to drive too long last evening. In the morning, I first went for a run and felt the elevation (~2000m), then we had breakfast at the Hotel, which was really good. After that, we ended our short stay and moved to our first “real” destination, Salento.

Salento

Initially, we thought about taking the Bus from Armenia to Salento. But we realized that it was pretty close and the Taxi cost around 100'000 cop (~25$), so we decided to go for that.

It was around a 40-minute drive, which gave us an excellent glimpse of the area and a beautiful jungle feeling.

In Salento we walked around the small town. We hiked up to the Mirador, which provided a great view of the valleys behind Salento.
