Day 4: Travel to Medellín
Off to Medellín
Today, we left Salento and took the Bus to Medellín. This was planned as a 7-hour drive, leaving at 08:00 from Salento and arriving in Medellín at around 15:00.
There was one quick stop in Pereira and a longer one at a restaurant where we had breakfast/lunch.
Even though the drive took its time, nature was beautiful and changed quite a bit; many coffee plantages were also visible from the Bus.
Medellín
We arrived early and were in our apartment around 15:00, so I first headed for a quick run. It was challenging to gauge which areas were safe to run and which should be avoided. So, I stayed close to our apartment in El Poblado, which is considered safe.
