Day 24: Galapagos - Tortuga Bay Part 2

Time is running! Especially when you look back, it feels like time went by instantly. Today was our last day of this Colombia & Galapagos trip. Tomorrow, we only have around noon left before the long journey home starts.

Our initial plan for the day was to hike onto Cerro Crocker. We did some research yesterday and assumed that it should be possible to do without a guide. But today, when we asked the cab driver, he told us you need a Guide, as it’s part of the National Park area.

So we had to change plans and decided to go to Tortuga Bay again, which was great! But after we arrived, the Sun came out and burned like crazy. So we spent most of the time in the shade of the mangroves, but still got a bit sunburned in the end 😌

We spotted some Sanderling along the beach, which we had already seen the last time and found pretty cool. So this time, we also had the camera and snagged some funny pictures of these running guys.

There were also some white-tipped sharks just swimming around the shore.

We returned to our hotel in the early afternoon and enjoyed the lovely pool area, reading and relaxing.

We went to Almar again for dinner, and our favorite server recognized us again. Third time with him 🤓
