Day 25: Let's go home

And now, we are back. This post actually spans two days. Our journey home started yesterday, 20.01.2024, at 12:30 Galapagos time (19:30 Switzerland time).

But before we left Santa Cruz, we went for a morning run together. Then, we walked a bit around town and had a last small breakfast at 1835. We spent the last hour at the Pool of our Hotel, and then off we went.

First, the Taxi to the Itabaca Canal, then the Ferry to Baltra, then the Bus to the Airport. There was another wait before we flew to Guayaquil. There was a roughly two-hour wait before we boarded the long flight to Madrid (close to 11 hours).

The flight itself was, overall, decent. We had some pretty nasty turbulence for ~15 minutes 😖 I watched Tenet, which I found better than the ratings suggested.

In Madrid, we had another two-hour wait before we boarded our last flight to Zurich. From there, we took a train, where we sit as I write these closing words of our holidays.
