Driving duration: 3:58 h
Distance: 309 km
Avg Speed: 78 km/h
Start: Close to Gornja Koviljača
End: Camp Plum
Night Location: 43°55'35" N 21°24'15" E

Walking

We started the day with getting to know our neighbor. A Serb who was also wild camping in the same spot as us, with a car and caravan combo. He stayed for multiple nights and did day trips to Bosnia to visit his cousins.

He recommended that we do a walk along the Drina, so we followed his advice. Quickly after our camp spot we reached “Etno selo Sunčana Reka” which is a hotel, but felt a bit like a ghost town in the current season. But we assumed that in the summer there will be a lot of action.

Then it was time to drive, and we used the new highway that the Mercedes navi didn’t even know about. We skipped Beograd itself, but visited the Avala Tower and the close by “Monument to the Unknown Hero”. I’m always impressed by these really large Soviet monuments, they just have a unique vibe to them.

We didn’t climb the tower, but still went close by.

Camp Plum

Just a quick hour later we reached our spot for the night, Camp Plum. Owned by a friendly family and surrounded by greenery. We arrived not too late, so decided to go for a run.

For dinner we cooked pasta and regretted not having bought some beer ;-)
