Alright, it was time to leave Toktogul Lake, after we did some grocery shopping, filled up diesel and got us some fresh vegetables, we were on our way. First stop was the Oson Guest House, around 35 minutes away. The owner invited us yesterday, after we pulled him out. So we took him up on his offer to visit him and he provided us an amazing lunch and didn’t accept any payment in the end for it. Was a really lovely experience.

After that it was already quite late, we picked up some firewood on the way and then drove over the Ala-Bel Pass, after it we looked for a spot for the night and found a beautiful spot on the grassland in a valley. Again up at 2700 meters of altitude. So compared to the 35 degrees we had on Toktogul Lake, it’s quite cold here. So the campfire was used not only to grill marshmallows, but also warm us up.
