Yesterday we realized that we first need to head south to visit the lakes. So we turned around and got to the Lake Kaindy. Compared to most other places in Kazakhstan, this is quite touristic. We knew it when multiple tourist cars crossed us on our way up. But it seemed we picked a good time window in the early afternoon. The parking lot wasn’t empty, but there weren’t too many people around. We did the short hike up to the lake and it’s really beautiful.
