The plan for today was to visit China, not directly because that’s super hard with your own car, but through the special trading zone in Khorgas. So we drove there, then you have a large parking lot on the Kazakh side. You buy a ticket and then leave the country (you get a regular exit stamp in the passport). Then you take a bus for a couple of minutes and then you are in a place that was exactly like I imagine China. Stores with strange food, a lot of fake clothes and some electronics. Also quite loud, but not too crowded.

It was really an experience, for me the food was the main thing that took my attention. Nicole also bought some clothes in the only “authentic” store we were able to find, a brand called “Basic Power”.
