Kazakhstan

It was time to leave the city, bye bye Almaty. But after the fun night yesterday, we both had a bit of a struggle getting going. Nicole probably a bit more because she was also hungover, not just tired. After we checked out of the Airbnb, we started the drive out of the city. The first couple of kilometers were quite a pain, a lot of traffic, but then it cleared up and soon we rolled over the steppe again.

It was a perfect road and it just felt great to be driving again, for me it’s always a feeling of freedom. The night will now be spent at the shores of Lake Balkhash, a stunning spot.
