Kazakhstan

Exploring Astana, after our morning run, we made it into the city. First stop was the Nursultan Mosque, which was the most impressive mosque we saw on the trip so far! It was finished only 4 years ago and is the second largest mosque outside the Middle East. After the visit we explored the expo area and the mall which was next to it. A stroll through the botanical garden and then it was already dinner time. Nicole found a vegetarian restaurant and was super happy to have finally a bit more choice in the menu. Unfortunately they had only half of the menu available, but the food was good.

Then on the way back I managed to put the wrong address into the Yandex and after a 25 minute ride (thankfully in the overall correct direction) we still had a 40 minute walk ahead of us… But to make up for this, we had a ride on the children’s rollercoaster next to the free RV camping. The main thrill was based on the question “will it break or not”, still fun :)
