We started the day with a run, with the knowledge that the remainder will be spent in the car. I always love exploring towns with a run, I saw another small pagoda, a Lenin Monument and multiple Soviet style buildings. After the run, a shower and a coffee, we started the long drive. Multiple short breaks, a bit of a longer lunch break where we cooked pasta and we made some good distance. But shortly before sunset the rain started and after it got darker and darker we realized we won’t make it all the way to the border, which was initially the goal. But the visibility got really bad and with the roads here, where there can always be a deadly pothole, we decided to call it a day and will now spend the night on a parking lot behind a gas station along the road.
