Georgia

Another banger day! We got up early for this one, so shortly after 08:00 we were already on our way. First we continued the track that already led us to the spot where we slept. Then we turned onto the main track for the day, which brought us to Abuli Pass. There we parked the cars and started the hike to Didi Abuli, the highest peak of the lower Caucasus located in Georgia. This started as a regular hike, up along the car track. But around 400 meters below the peak, it became rocky terrain and we just slowly crawled up. Always on the lookout for the trail, which wasn’t clearly visible most of the time. But it was still fun, even though the loose rocks provided quite the challenge. In the end we made it to the crosses, the peak itself was already covered in snow.
