Georgia

We started the day with a hike, quite a random one actually. We just walked the road we drove yesterday along the ridge from Zekari Pass. Then we spotted a hill with a cross and climbed up the ~50 meters. Even though it wasn’t super special, it was still a lot of fun and great to get some movement in after the long days of driving.

After that we drove down Zekari Pass and as we reached lower elevations, the weather got warmer and warmer (surprise?!). In the end we camped at a river spot with over 20 degrees, a nice change of weather compared with the last couple of days. We even did a swim, or more a dip, in the cold river which was super refreshing.

We cooked dinner on the fire pit and when we chilled at it later in the evening, we were joined by Noah, a bikepacker from Germany. Quite cool that he also did the Pamir, so we had some stories to share.
