Today we took it a bit easier, which felt well deserved after all these long driving days. So we just got up with the sun and after a quick coffee for me and a Red Bull for Nicole, we went on a run. Was about time, I think the last one was nearly 2 weeks ago… It felt great, even though it was quite cold before the sun hit us.

Back in the camper we made some scrambled eggs for breakfast and then started to slowly get ready for the day. We also had a stop at Khadzhi Dimitur planned, which we initially had planned back when we were here in May, but then decided to skip it. It’s an abandoned communist monument and quite an impressive sight. We spent some time around it, hiked the small mountain behind it and then had lunch. Before we continued the drive towards Romania. As the day got late we found a nice spot off the main road at a small lake/river.
