Georgia

We really start to have a rhythm, we get up between 7 and 8. Then we spend 2 hours making coffee, eating breakfast, planning the day and also just relaxing. So around 10 we often leave and so it was today as well.

But before we drove back down the valley, we did a short walk down to the river. There we spotted a zipline and wondered how busy it will be here during the main season. Right now it feels quite dead.

After close to 40 minutes, we reached the main highway along the coast again. From there it was roughly an hour until the border with Georgia. This one was special, because we got split up. Nicole had to use the “person” border and I drove through it with Sprinty. For me this brought a bit of a challenge, because there was apparently a fine in the system because of our flight out of the country. We filled out the form and stamped it at the airport, but somehow it didn’t end up in the system (I guess).

So I first had to go to another counter, where the officer was confused what I now want. He called the one from the first counter and then did some work on the paper. Then back to the first counter and he told me all good to go. But when I tried to leave Turkey through the last gate, there was sort of an alert and another officer informed me that I have an open fine… it was all confusing. Anyhow, I went to the bank, where you can pay the fine and was informed that the open amount is 9 Euro. So I just paid up and left, even though I have no clue for what I paid.

Then after the border I got a bit wild, multiple people rushed to the car window and wanted to sell us insurance, sims or whatever. Thankfully we already did the TPL (insurance) online, so we just drove away.

A first quick stop to grab some snacks and find the spot for the night and then we headed to it, a place close to the beach.

We also went for a run, did a HIIT and then made our first camp fire, yay!
