8:30h, no this is not your regular work day duration, it’s how long it takes to cross from Georgia to Russia. If you live in Switzerland, like I do and think about this fact, it’s just crazy how easy our borders are today. We just drive over to Germany as if we don’t cross a country. But here, everything is quite different.

To be fair, all the police and custom folks where always super nice and friendly. They stayed calm and tried to help us as good as they could. But the overall process is quite complicated and just time consuming. You start with a car lane before the border, this part already took nearly 4 hours. Then it’s passport control, interview, phone check and also car check (open up everything). After that there is a custom part, where 15 people try to pass the document through a window which opens up every ~15 minutes.

But now we are in Russia, it feels bizzare to be honest. Let’s see how far we will make it tomorrow.
