Because of the closed KZ/UZ border here in Mangystau, we have to do quite a detour to reach UZ and also TJ/KG. First we thought about the shortcut, but after doing some detailed investigation, we decided against it. Apparently it’s 600 km with a lot of bad and long stretches of washboard, no fun at all. So we started the drive back up north, from where we came.
In the morning we also went for a run and filled up water at the restaurant where we ate yesterday. The guy that helped us was so nice, he disassembled half of the bathroom so we could connect our hose and fill up the tanks.
Now we are at a beautiful river, with two of the three Swiss couples. It’s really funny to be here in nowhere in Kazakhstan together with other Swiss people.
