After a zero day yesterday, it was time to do some distance again, the Pamir Highway is coming closer! For today we had one thing we wanted to visit, the Baikonur Cosmodrome. But we already knew that we can’t really visit it, because you need a special ticket and as it’s Russian ground, it’s super complicated. So this wasn’t really an option, but we still wanted to get close and check it out.

The Baikonur Cosmodrome is still used today for various launches and was for some time the only option to get to the ISS. It was also the launch site where the first man to space was launched.

We went to the gate, and there was a small exhibition, quite cool.

After that it was more of the highway to our spot for the night. We did a quick run and then cooked some dinner.
