Day 50, time went by so crazy fast… as always. But on the other side, when we take the time to look back, we also realize how much we did and experienced. How time feels is really fascinating.

On our way to Turkistan we did a short stop Sauran, ruins of a 500 year old city.

Then we reached Turkistan, some call it Disneyland of the Steppe and we understand why. Everything looks a bit overdone and fake. There are some beautiful old buildings, which we will visit tomorrow. But there is also a lot of newish stuff, but it already has a bit of a lost place feeling, quite strange.

For dinner we had authentic Kazakh cuisine, which was interesting, but the menu had also some special stuff like “lamb head” or “lamb heart”. I tried the most traditional food, which consists of horse meat and was really nice.

Btw, the entries are currently a bit shorter because we are still traveling with the other Swiss couples and the evenings are always getting a bit late, so I don’t have much time for the blog.
