We got up early and I first had a coffee. Then we did a quick grocery run for Nicole to grab some Red Bulls. After that a breakfast and off we went to explore Turkistan. Beside multiple museums, the main attraction is the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

We explored the area, visited the chamber room (where it wasn’t allowed to take pictures) and were fascinated that there are close to zero people.

Next we did a short visit of the Khoja Ahmad Yassavi Mosque, which was close by.

A quick trip to the “Uly Dala Eli Ortalygy” Museum closed off this cultural day. But the museum had some Disney World feelings, everything was more show than real history.

We then drove out of the city, to leave the heat behind us. We got over 40 degrees today.

A really nice spot at a lake, some cold beers and sitting together with the other Swiss couples rounded off the day. Perfect!
