We started today with a run together, but compared to the city run yesterday, it wasn’t that great. We ran along a road where there were a lot of trucks, super dirty and then even some stray dogs. So we called it quits early on and decided to enjoy the pool.
Our service appointment was at 14:00, so we used the time until then to clean Sprinty, which was more than overdue. It’s crazy how much dust we collected over the last couple of weeks and how much of it made its way into the van.
The service was carried out quick, a bit after 15:00 we were on the road again. With new oil and new filters, which gives a good feeling. Especially because the mechanic showed us the old ones, the air filter also caught some dust.
It was clear that we couldn’t reach Samarkand today, it was simply too far. But we hoped to reach the midway point. Compared to the steppe in Kazakhstan, the traffic was high and the driving of Uzbeks is not for the faint of heart. The highway was often good, but sometimes catastrophically bad and everything shook. But in the end we managed to reach a nice spot, close to the highway at around the midway point. So tomorrow it’s only around 2 hours to go.
