Today’s plan was to beat the heat, so we got up early, had breakfast and then were on our way to explore the city some more. First the “Ark of Bukhara”, then “Ismail Samani Mausoleum” and last the bazaar that was close by. But 10:00 was too early and the bazaar was still closed. Life here definitely happens after sunset.

Then, as everyday and always, it was siesta time. It was scorching hot, so the shade in the courtyard of the hotel was well appreciated.

At 17:00 we did a walking tour, which covered mostly was we already explored, but gave some interesting facts. But the most interesting part of the tour was just the chat with the guide, getting to better know the people and their beliefs.
