Tajikistan

We got up early to catch the Swiss game which started at 06:00 our time. Juerg also joined us, Starlink is helping us make friends :) Unfortunately there was no win, but the game was quite entertaining.

Then we had a small breakfast and got ready for the hike. Yesterday we cut it short because of the rain, but today the weather was good, so off we went. First along the shore, the stretch we already knew. Then began a gnarly uphill section, which brought us up roughly 350m of elevation gain, but gave us a great view of the lake.

From there we followed the trail into a valley, where we spotted some villages that are still used in the summer. Comparable to Swiss Alps we assumed.

Then we reached the turning point, crossed a river and started the way down along the same river. Until we reached the lake again and followed its shore back to our spot. The weather got a bit worse in the afternoon, but we made it back in time to catch a quick swim in the ice cold lake, which was super refreshing. But afterwards we were super happy to have a hot shower in the camper, to warm up and get really clean.

We cooked some dinner, but were both already quite tired. A lot of sun and some activity combined with getting up early got the better of us.
