Tajikistan

Wow, another banger day! We got up around 08:00 and decided to have breakfast at the hut here. Which was okay, but not the reason for the banger day. Around 10:00 we made it on our way to Lake Kuli Kalon. It started easy along the river that comes down the valley. But after a bit it got steeper and more strenuous, which was great, some real hiking again. Up and up we go, until we reached a first plateau. There we met a ranger (or we assumed he was a ranger) and a couple of other official looking people. They were super friendly and greeted us.

Now it was time for the final climb, and after around 700m of elevation gain, we made it to the lake. There we did a short stop and then went for a swim in the cold, but not crazy cold lake. It was really refreshing. Then we had a light lunch and were on our way back down.

Back at the Basecamp it was beer and chill time, it felt so great to hike again.
