Tajikistan

After yesterday’s hike, today was quite a lazy day. We waited for Fabi to return from his camping adventure, spending the time chilling, reading and just enjoying being in the mountains. As the morning went on, more and more cars arrived. We weren’t sure if it’s like that every day, or because of the Saturday. Shortly after noon we left and started the 3 hour offroad drive back down, quite an adventure again.

Back on the main road we did a short stop to fill up our tires and then started the drive towards Dushanbe. Quickly the road started to go up and we reached the infamous tunnel of death. Badly lit, water in it and no air circulation. But it wasn’t as bad as the name suggests. Just a bit after the tunnel we drove a gravel road down and are now at a nice river spot with comfortable temperatures.
