Tajikistan

After all the driving in the last two days, it was clear that today we want to take it a bit easier. There is a quite incredible hike that you can do close to our spot, but we heard that the bridge to access it is currently closed (or broken). But we decided to check it out for ourselves and then decide how to proceed.

It was a 13 km drive on a quite bad road, so it took us close to an hour to reach the starting point. We already saw some people there, so this wasn’t a good sign. There were also multiple “bridge is under repair” signs, so we knew that we won’t hike it today. One of the guys we met at the bridge still crossed it, it wasn’t impossible, but we couldn’t justify the risk and decided to do another hike.

We found a spot where there was a sort of small pool and from there we did a quick hike up the valley. Soon there wasn’t really a trail anymore and this was our turning point. Then we swam a bit in the pool, cool and refreshing water.

Now we are back at the same spot as yesterday and had a nice evening with a campfire, baked bread and just chilling.
