First things first, this is now officially our longest trip ever! The US one in 2022 was 84 days, so we crushed that, yay! The feeling is the same as always, it feels like quite a time we are already on the road and it also feels as if everything just happened hours ago.
After a good night at 4240 meters, we slept astonishingly well for the height, we had a lazy morning (as so often). First stop then was Chukurkul Lake, which looked beautiful, but not suitable for swimming. So we just made a short stop and enjoyed the view.
It was again a terrible road, a lot of washboard slowed us down. But the views and scenery made up for it. It just feels so unreal to drive through this landscape.
Not too much happened, we made it back on the main Pamir Highway road the M41, but just for a couple of kilometers, before we turned off again on a dirt track towards Bulunkul. There we had a short stop, filled up water and bought the permit for the National Park. Then we made our way to the lake, where we now stay for the night.
