Yeah, some real hiking again! From the foot of Peak Lenin (more or less) we started today towards Travellers Pass, a classic here. Compared with the last weeks on the Pamir Highway, we saw a lot of tourists today! Most of them staying in the Basecamp and doing hiking holidays.

The hike up was beautiful, the views of Peak Lenin unbelievable. But we also felt the altitude. We got up to 4150 meters and the air is thinner here. Even though it wasn’t too long, it was really fun. When we got back to our camp spot, the sun was still out, so we just sat there and enjoyed life.

Later the clouds came and with them the cold, we still ate dinner outside with a Peak Lenin view, but then headed into the van and turned on the heater. Now we are waiting until it reaches a cozy 24 degrees inside.
